HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALI JANE

HEY ALI, HAPPY BIRTHDAY #21!
From a 5'11" newborn grows a gorgeous sweet pea like you! From age two when you said "I need to go shopping at the Gap," to age three when you arranged all your clothes into outfits on the floor and told Daddy, "Look at all my fitouts!", you've become quite the styling chickadee. With intelligence, style, humor, loyalty, beauty, spirituality and dancing, you go after your life. Extra happy birthday on this "rite of passage" day. We all love "our baby".

HAPPY #29 ALEXANDER SCOTT KNUDSEN!

Hey Alex, Born on the heels of 3 olders sisters under age 4 has left you a very independent, mellow, self sufficient guy, almost from day 2/26/1980. We never had time to pamper or indulge you--we were all just surviving! But maybe because of the circumstances of your birth you turned out to be the incredible person you are. I'm so glad I had a son, a brother for my 5 daughters. And a fabulous brother and son you have been. And now a good husband and father too. Happy birthday to you on this beautiful winter day! Love Madre (and Padre who doesn't blog).

6 Months...

This is probably my favorite picture of Matt and I and I can't believe it has been 6 long months since he was hit in Brazil. I can't say that it is getting easier, I still cry every single day to my mom and my heart still hurts every single day. It has gotten to be a different hurt. I mean that by it isn't so hard after I have made the commitment to live my life the way Matt was living his life and the way he would have wanted me to live my life. Mom gave me a quote this morning as I was heading out to work, knowing that today was going to be hard, here it is: "Sometimes it seemed as if the world itself was broken, that there was something wrong with all of us, something broken in such a way that it might not be put together again; but the holding of hands, human hand in human hand, could help, could make the world seem less broken." (Mama Ramotswe) My world is broken, but all of your hands make it feel less broken and I love you for that! Thanks for letting me take one day at a time. I will love you.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Our weekend in Jackson Hole was so much fun. We all got to camp and raft together, pick raspberries and ride chair lifts together. I love my family and think that they are the most beautiful people ever.

BLUE & WHITE?

As you have probably all heard, I am transferring to BYU or waiting to find out if I was accepted. I know it seems a little crazy and no way serious, but it is! I feel so good when I am down there with Liz and Laur and we have made a lot of new friends, cute guy friends. I think the changes and chain of events that have taken place in my life, it is kind of meant to be. I just went down there one weekend to visit, with no intentions of transferring at all, the thought hadn't even crossed my mind, until all Liz and Laur got talking about it ALL weekend long and by the end I have applying. I actually feel like my normal self for the most part, I am beginning to be happy and taking time to heal from the death of Matt and other things. I know I am not completely healed and I will miss him every day, and think about him everyday. I just wanted to share some of the the pictures that we took in Provo and also on our hike up Iron Mountain. It was so beautiful and I really think Fall is my favorite season, it is refreshing! I love you all and want to thank you for your prayers and support.

Happy Birthday Olivia Anna Pond!

Olivia Anna Pond, the oldest Knudsen grandchild, turned 6 on September 10, 2008. Olivia's middle name comes from her mother Sylvia's twin sister Anna. Olivia is so intelligent, so beautiful with thick strawberry blond hair and dark brown eyes, so tall, a good soccer player, a good trampoline gymnast, and a good sister to Anders. She reads to Anders, plays with him, and helps teach him sign language. She knows all her letters and numbers and is starting to read too. Olivia wants to be a missionary when she grows up. Olivia is much loved by her grandma and grandpa, her many aunts, uncles and cousins and friends. WE LOVE YOU, Olivia, sweet pea!

Camping Trip With Old Friends- Moon Lake

Here are some pictures when a whole bunch of our old friends went camping up at Moon Lake. It was a perfect way for a bunch of us to get together after our crazy summer and after losing Matt. Moon Lake is absolutely beautiful! A quick escape well for the most part ha. It was the first time I ever drove the Durango with a canoe on top, not too much different, but a good first time experience.
