Powder Keg Race

The Powder Keg is a backcountry ski race, that means you hike up and down mountains, ripping your skins off and putting them back on. You are required to have a beacon, shovel, probe and helmet. I've entered to competition 5 times now.
At the starting lineTo begin your race you have to run to your skis and I was laughing the whole time because it's really funny to run in your ski boots and to see 135 other people do it to. I think a good laugh is what got me started right!Up-tracking with other races. I am wearing the yellow coat in full stride.I'm second from the backSecond from the frontAt a transition point: I'm putting my skins back on after a downhill tuckCrossing the finish line
Being rewarded for 1st place in the Women's Telemark Recreation Race. I had a blast!
