Our New Car

Me and Kathy got a new car. Do you like it? We thought it had a vintage quality to it. We took the car to the Wedge Overlook, looking over the Little Grand Canyon of the San Rafael. I want to run this section this year. It needs to be above 150 cfs. It could take a couple of days with good tributary hiking. We miss everybody.

Happy First Birthday Anders!!

Our little monkey is one! What a joy he is! We have truly been blessed in our life to have two wonderful children. To our family who loves us the most, you are our greastest treasure.

Gateway Discovery Museum

During the day we went to the museum with the Pond cousins. Thanks to dad and mom we can go time and time again.

Where imaginations and smiles run free! Olivia LOVES the museum

Happy playing in the balls

The greatest custard on earth. . . atleast to most of the Ponds

We went to Nelson's frozen custard that night with the family thinking that Anders would love the dairy products like the rest of us. To our dismay, the custard in his mouth gave him the heebee-geebeez. Who's child is this? Squash anyone?

Way To Go Mom!

I thought it would be fun for Anders to look at his cupcake, on his highchair tray, with a candle in it. Have I forgotten the danger of fire? I did, until he touched it and it ruined his night! Anders didn't even try his cake because he was so upset. There goes my shot at mother of the year.
Touching the Candle; before the pain sets in. Notice my hand darting in, as I'm realizing that I've made a big mistake

The Aftermath

Puppy Love, a True Rocker. . .

The hit of the night was a dog rocker that Beauen and I purchased for Anders on-line. We had a inkling that he would enjoy it, but we had no idea the extent of the love. Anyone who has held Anders knows that his favorite thing is to rock back and forth, back and forth. All he needs is your hands to hold on to. Well once he hopped onto the dog and realized it rocked back and forth, back and forth-he was over joyed! He yelled continously for an hour. Here are a few shots of the many that were taken. It was quit a sight for all those looking on. I'm afraid what it is doing to his vocal cords! It's the same scenario all day long. I have to hide the dog on occasion because he starts to become horse!

I don't want to stop rocking mom!

Presents!!

Anders had lots of help from the little ones opening his presents (especially his big sister), but he did not seem to mind. He was just wondering what was going on?!
Giving kisses to his new friends curious george, ginger bear and an original creation of kathy and alex.

The Reveal

Every year we rally together to come up wth an idea for mom and dad. This year we created this here blog and a poster of the family. After much grief and cordinating we had the poster just in time for the familly party. Meg and Corbin put together the masterpiece. Lisa was our family photographer. Beauen was our crafty frame maker. Sylvia our crazy, obsessive project manager. Anna, Alex, Kathy, Ali, and grandkids our beautiful faces who took such wonderful portraits. Everyones effort paid off. Mom and Dad loved it!

Christmas eve was an all day event. Thoughout the day we engaged in various activities, thus Dylan was born. With maticulous planning, artistry, and execution Dylan emerged on the back porch. Equipped with a climbing wall, cave and slide-only in the knudsen house hold would you find such a snow sculpture!
